I watched this interview the other day from The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart with Newsweek’s Jon Meacham. It happened to be on the day that the Washington Post, which owns Newsweek, announced they were selling the magazine. Meacham has some important insights which he shares here about how vital news mediums like his magazine are to democracy and our society. I think he’s right; as consumers of news we have to really ask some questions about the quality of news that we want, and how our buying habits are eroding away at that.
